Activity

The link setting window appears when you create an external share link.
It contains General, Security, Customize, and Spaces tabs.

In this window, you can configure detailed settings and manage the functionality of that specific link.

General

When creating a link, you can assign a Link Name and Description for internal tracking. Both fields are private and will not be shared with external users. However, if you enable the Use public link setting, the Link Name you provided will be used to generate a customized, named URL for the share.

Page labels	View	All page labels will be visible on the shared link
Page Content	Edit
Page history Page Version	View	Entire history of page content changes will be visible
	Delete	Anyone with access to the link can delete page version from history, no Confluence account or license required!
	Restore	Anyone with access to the link can restore page version from history, no Confluence account or license required!
Macros	Remove unsupported	Unsupported macros will be removed from the shared page
Macros	Show placeholders	Unsupported macros will be replaced with a placeholder macro
Page status	View	Page status will be visible on the shared link
Child pages	Share	Child pages will be accessible with the same permissions as this parent link. Share child pages with labels - Only share child pages containing any of comma separated label will be shared with the same permissions as the current link Share child pages without labels - Only share child pages not containing any of comma separated label will be shared with the same permissions as the current link Match - Select match with any labels or all labels
Search	Search pages	Search form will be visible in the header on the shared link with child pages Search pages with labels - Search pages with labels Search pages without labels Match - Select match with any labels or all labels

Component options (With, Without, Match) are now hidden if the checkbox is not selected.

Options - Share child pages / Search pages

When Share Child Pages is enabled, you can optionally allow visitors to search within those pages using label filters. Both the Share and Search options use the same filtering logic. You can include or exclude pages based on labels, and decide whether a page must match any or all of the selected labels.

Security

Link restrictions
Protect link with password	Set a secure password to protect the link
Set link expiration date and time	Set a date and time, after which the link will no longer work Expires in - Set a time from now when the link will expire. Expires at - Set a specific date and time when the link will expire Options are: Hour Day Week Month Year
Require SSO	Shared link will require a user to confirm their identity via corporate identity provider. Read more
Share Access token	Eliminates the need to manually enter the password and restrict access to the Confluence page exclusively through our system via iFrame. Read more

Selected users
Share only with following users	The link will be available only for selected user
Recipients	Enter valid email address. Users of the entered email addresses will receive a notification about shared link
Domains	Enter email domain. Shared link will be available to all users from the specified domain
Notify newly added users	Notification about share will be send to all newly added users

Customize

Option	Description
Page customization	Select the page customization settings to use for this share
Show page titles	When selected, page titles will be displayed
Show dark mode button	When selected, allows switching between light and dark modes
Show author info	When selected, displays the author’s name on the page
Show author avatar	When selected, displays the author’s avatar
Show last updated/created date	When selected, shows the creation date or the most recent update date of the page
Show totals row below numeric columns	Adds a row below the table that sums numeric columns
Subscription placeholder	Allows changing the position of the Subscribe button. Available options: on the page or in the header

Spaces

Cross-space link mappings

Map external shares to spaces. When the page contains links to pages in mapped spaces, they will resolve to the target share. How to Link Multiple Spaces for External Shares

Activity

Link Details	Option	Description
1	Status	Shows the status of the link. Possible options are:
	Opened	The number of times the link has been visited
	Created	Shows who created the link and when it was created
	Last updated	Shows who last edited the link and when it was last updated
2	Activity list	Displays information about all activities that have taken place for the shared page It includes the following details: Source, Action, User, Email, and Date. When an unregistered external viewer performs an action, an anonymous icon is displayed. When a registered external user performs an action, their name and email address are displayed. You can filter and search the activity list to find specific records.
